Hope Carew is an LA-based actress, writer, and comic. After starting acting at the age of 5, Hope has starred in countless plays, musicals, and film projects since then. After graduating from The University of Texas with her B.A in Theatre & Dance, Hope has been pursuing acting professionally in Austin, New York, and now Los Angeles. While in college, Hope was the president of UT's improv troupe, Gigglepants and made videos with her sketch troupe. Since then, she has acted in several short films, commercials (Joy Razors, Dietz & Watson, Austin Statesman), and comedy shows, where she’ll perform anything from sketch, improv, or stand up. She is the co-creator of the web series, Mr. Nice Girls, online now. She also wrote, directed, and starred in the short film F*ckboy. She is currently focused on earning her SAG card, recording her podcast, History Duffs, and hosting her hit monthly show Big Deck Energy. Combining her love of comedy, arts & crafts, and building community, Big Deck Energy is a monthly craft fair and comedy show featuring local artists, hilarious comedians, and up-and-coming musicians from around Los Angeles. You can catch Hope selling her wares and telling her jokes at Kombu Sushi in Silverlake every third Saturday.
